Method 2: Cut and Measure (Second Most Accurate)

If you’re happy to sacrifice a worn belt, cut straight across it using scissors or a blade. Lay it flat and measure the full length, then measure the width.

Example:
If the belt measures 1,220 mm long and 50 mm wide once cut, you need a 50 mm × 1,220 mm sanding belt.

Method 3: Measure with String or Tape

If you don’t want to cut the belt, wrap a piece of string or a soft measuring tape around the belt.

Lay the belt flat on a hard surface. Measure the length from one fold to the other and multiply that number by two.

Example:
